My Happy Weekend

Last weekend was one of the happiest times I’ve had in a long time. It started on Saturday morning when my family decided to go for a picnic at the park. The weather was perfect—sunny but not too hot. We packed some sandwiches, fruit, and drinks into a big basket and set off early so we could enjoy the fresh air.

When we arrived at the park, it was already full of people having fun. Some were playing frisbee, while others were jogging or simply relaxing under the trees. My parents spread out our blanket near a small lake where ducks were swimming lazily. We ate our lunch there and talked about all sorts of things. After eating, my brother and I played hide-and-seek with some kids from nearby. It felt great to run around and laugh together.

Later that afternoon, we visited a nearby museum. Even though it wasn’t very big, it had lots of interesting exhibits about local history. I learned a lot about how the town used to be many years ago. By the end of the day, everyone was tired but happy.

On Sunday, we stayed home and relaxed. In the morning, I helped my mom bake cookies. She taught me how to mix the dough and decorate the cookies with colorful sprinkles. They turned out delicious! Afterward, we watched a funny movie together. It made us laugh until our stomachs hurt.

By the time Sunday evening came around, I realized just how much I enjoyed spending quality time with my family. Even though the weekend was over, I felt refreshed and ready to face the new week ahead. These moments reminded me why family is so important and how simple activities can bring so much joy.
