The Lost Puppy
Once upon a time, there was a small puppy named Max. One sunny afternoon, Max wandered far from home while chasing a butterfly. He didn’t realize how far he had gone until he found himself lost in the forest.
Max felt scared and lonely. He whimpered softly, hoping someone would hear him. Birds chirped overhead, but no one came to his rescue. The once-bright sun began to set, casting long shadows across the trees.
Determined not to give up, Max sniffed around for any familiar scent. Suddenly, he caught a whiff of something sweet—a cookie! Following the smell, Max stumbled upon a little girl sitting by a tree eating cookies. She was called Lily, and she had been picnicking with her family.
Lily noticed Max’s sad eyes and immediately understood he was lost. She gently picked him up and gave him a cookie. “Don’t worry,” she said kindly. “I’ll help you find your way back.”
With Lily’s help, they retraced Max’s steps and soon found his owner waiting anxiously at the edge of the forest. Max wagged his tail happily as he was reunited with his family. From that day on, Max stayed close to home, knowing that adventures could sometimes lead to danger. But most importantly, he learned that kindness could bring hope even in the darkest times.
And so, Max lived happily ever after, forever grateful for Lily’s bravery and compassion.
